Cresswood Hall
Located in a quiet residential area, Cresswood Hall nursery on the corner of Gillies Street is just a short walk from Gospel Oak overground station. Since opening in 2018, PolkaDots has turned the space into an ideal setting for a nursery with everything necessary to keep our children safe and happy – from child-friendly toilets to a two-stage entry system.
Come see our Cresswood nursery for yourself!
The hall’s open design lets children make independent choices about where they want to play and learn. They’re free to move about between areas like the cosy corner (this term it’s sea-themed!) or the snack time station, always under the caring supervision of our lovely staff. PolkaDots children also love to play in our outside area, exploring the natural materials there (like our wooden stepping blocks) as well as all the fun PolkaDots toys! All our children also benefit from Enhanced Curriculum classes, like Yoga and Dance, Cooking, Music and Makaton!

“Leaders have an ambitious vision to provide high-quality care and education to all children. Parents speak very highly of the nursery. They say that staff are extremely caring and supportive, and help them to extend children’s learning at home.” Ofsted, June 2021

“My daughter went to PolkaDots for two years, she loved PolkaDots nursery. Amazing toys and loads of lovely activities. The staff are all caring, kind, professional, attentive, friendly, and they clearly love to be around little children. The atmosphere reflects on children’s happiness. I couldn’t ask for a better nursery”

Like our nearby Athlone nursery, PolkaDots Cresswood has a much smaller maximum capacity than most chain nurseries. This lets PolkaDots maintain one of its key features – a low staff:child ratio, meaning there’s more adult care and attention for each of our children.
Our lovely staff are at the heart of the PolkaDots experience. Warm and professional, our team are one of our parents’ (and children’s) favourite things about our nursery! Cresswood manager Bernie Dawson has huge experience in Early Years Education and has been with us since PolkaDots began. Bernie’s team has years of experience nurturing children’s curiosity and development, serving the communities where they live in Gospel Oak and Kentish Town. Click here to meet them!
